Peas, peas, and more peas, please. In mid-July to early August, when your Spring peas slow down and the vines start to yellow, find another spot in the vegetable garden to…plant more peas! If you plant peas again in mid-summer, you can enjoy another crop by Fall, just remember to water them a lot. Two varieties oft cited that tolerate a range of warmer temperatures are Wando and Lincoln, but you can also try any peas left in the packet from Spring-time planting, including snow peas or shelling peas. Peas are one of the easiest seeds to plant and one of the hardiest to grow. Kids love to grow peas, pick peas, and eat peas right off the vine. Happy planting!
